AI consulting in Sacramento, from a firm that builds what it recommends

What it is

MKTNG is a Sacramento firm in its eleventh year that plans, builds, and operates AI systems for companies of roughly 15 to 150 people. The work starts with your goals and an audit of the systems you already run. It produces a roadmap with a fixed price for the first build, and it continues under a monthly service agreement once that build is live.

Your team already uses AI. Nobody's in charge of it.

Someone in sales pays for ChatGPT out of pocket. Operations got a Copilot license with the last software renewal. Your office manager has a folder of prompts that work. Each of those tools has learned a slightly different version of your company, because each person typed in only the part they know.

Meanwhile the knowledge that actually runs the business sits with two or three people. How you price. Which customers get the call back first. What you never promise in writing. None of it is written down anywhere a tool can read.

That's the condition most Sacramento companies are in when they search for an AI consultant. The tools aren't the problem. There's no shared record underneath them.

What most firms call AI consulting, we run as six steps

The category sells this work in pieces: a readiness assessment, a strategy deck, an implementation, then a support contract. We run it as one sequence, and we stay for all of it.

Goals, a systems audit, and a roadmap come first. That's the AI readiness assessment and strategy work, and the roadmap is the first time a price exists. Then Foundation: we write your company down once, in open files you own, and ship the first build on top of it. That's AI implementation. After that the system runs under a service agreement with a named owner on your side and a review every quarter.

How the six steps work

We run our own company on this first

Every morning, before anyone at MKTNG opens a laptop, an agent has already read our CRM and our live proposals and sent the team a briefing: who opened what, which deals moved, who needs a call today. We built that for ourselves before we built it for anyone else.

Then we built one for a client. BrightWork Realty Advocates, a Northern California brokerage, has run a Revenue Agent inside its CRM since June 2026. Median time from a new lead landing to first touch: 7.7 seconds. It has raised 119 proactive lead alerts. Every message is drafted in the founder's voice, and he's the one who hits send.

Eleven years here means we'll be in the room

We've spent eleven years doing communications work for organizations whose mistakes get noticed: the California Energy Commission, PG&E, and Hat Creek Construction, whose quarry project won a 5 to 0 vote from the Lassen County Board of Supervisors in August 2026 after three years of work together. We coach nonprofits through Social Venture Partners Sacramento's Fast Pitch and help run its AI for Good programming.

So the Working Session happens in person, at your office, anywhere in the Sacramento region. The people who run it are the people who build the system afterward.

What we build

It starts with a Working Session.

One conversation with your team about where you want AI to take the company, and what you're working with today. It's step one of six, and the start of Discovery and Roadmap.

Questions we get

Who does AI consulting in Sacramento?

MKTNG is a Sacramento communications and AI systems firm founded in 2015. We plan, build, and operate AI agents, knowledge bases, and AI-ready websites for companies of roughly 15 to 150 people across the Sacramento region and Northern California. We run the same systems on our own pipeline.

How much does AI consulting cost?

We don't publish prices because the first build depends on what you already run. You'll hear a range in the first conversation. A fixed price arrives with the roadmap, after we understand your goals and have audited your systems, so the number confirms what you expected.

What size company do you work with?

Most of our clients have 15 to 150 employees, no internal development team, and work that's repetitive and high-consequence: estimates, proposals, intake, follow-up. The knowledge that runs the company usually lives in a few people's heads.

Do we need technical staff to work with you?

No. We build and operate the system. You name one person who owns it on your side, and we train your team by role.

Do you only work in Sacramento?

No. We meet Sacramento-area clients in person, and we work with companies across Northern California and beyond. BrightWork Realty Advocates is in the Bay Area.

How long before something is live?

We build the foundation for one department first, so the first project ships in weeks. A Revenue Agent is typically live in your CRM in six to eight weeks.

What is Groundwork?

Groundwork is the structured record of your company that everything we build reads from: what's true, how you talk, who you serve, and what you won't say. It's written in open-format files you own, so it leaves with you if we ever part ways.
