West Biofuels
West Biofuels, LLC is a California bioenergy company building a plant in Burney, on the grounds of Hat Creek Construction & Materials’ headquarters, that turns waste biomass into about three megawatts of power. MKTNG worked with the company from January 2024 through May 2025.
Stakeholders were not going to read a slide deck quietly.
We ran the April 2024 start-of-construction event at the site end to end: logistics, outreach to state and regional officials, invitations to neighbors, reporters on site, and follow-up coverage afterward. Hat Creek CEO Perry Thompson was among the speakers. Between construction milestones we issued releases tied to grants and progress so newsletters and trade publications had something quotable.
The project showed up where professional associations publish, in emailed member updates, and in statements from elected offices. Same facts, echoed through the channels those audiences trust.
Facility stories live or die on whether people believe the cranes are coming. Rhythm on the calendar keeps that credibility from going quiet between pours.
