Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento (LECS)

Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento logo and branding for nonprofit first-responder chaplaincy services

LECS chaplains walk into the worst days on a first responder’s calendar. Death notifications for the Coroner’s unit, bedside support in hospitals, accompaniment on patrol incidents. Forty-plus years deep in Sacramento County, their mark has to scan on uniforms, SUVs, flyers, and the side of an event tent alike.

They asked first for logo cleanup and merchandise that matched. Asset quality and change list were far enough apart that we rebuilt marks from scratch, showed bannered and simplified versions, spelled out options for “Sacramento” versus “Est. in 1977,” and floated Paraclete as optional consulting sub-brand lettering. Palette tightened to California’s blue with gold trim; the inner star sank to a darker plate so oak leaves register; we swapped the waving ribbon for an arch because “Chaplain” finally read at small sizes.

Print work sat next on the spreadsheet: four 24x36 foam-core posters plus 200 duplexed letter pages cut into 400 programs for their event run.

Ribbon cutting landed last. Scott Eggert, MKTNG’s president, spoke at the dedication for chaplain offices and a new skills lab. Topic was blunt: chaplains fund officer resilience and neighbor grief from the same line item, and the upgraded building keeps both sides of that job trained.

Faith-based responders don’t hire an agency for theory. They need marks that stitch on uniforms, paper that clears the doorway, and friends who remember the podium is part of pastoral work.
